2010 is now into its final days (yaaa, ahem), and we look forward to the new 2011 Connaught Competition Engines Hillclimb & Sprint championship.

Over the long cold winter competitors have been like mad scientists clambering over their creations, in the quest for even more power!!!

Already rumours & wild speculation abound. Simon McKinley, we have from an unreliable source, was in discussions with Connaught Competition Engines about having a Bugatti Veyron engine fitted to his Escort. While an even more unreliable source said, Paul O’Connell is having the engine from Scorski helicopter fitted. Can’t wait to see that take off!!

Rumours aside, the 2011 Connaught Competition Engines Hillclimb & Sprint championship will have a hard act to follow. Without doubt the 2010 championship was the most exciting octane fuelled year to date. Records were shattered, the championship in doubt..But amidst all the turmoil, the championship produced spectacular battles right to the very end.
