Irish Hillclimb Championship

With the Start of the Championship just over a Month away, and the continued Sponsorship of Connaught Competition Engines of the Championship. Cast your minds back to 2010, to the Spectacular Battle of Speed &Wits between The now Champion Simon McKinley and former Champion Paul O’Connell.

Forget what you’ve seen before, nothing!,  absolutely, nothing! Comes close to the sheer outright Speed of these guys. Records on the Hills fell away like Skittles as these Brave Thespians of the Tarmac ushered in a new Era of  Speed.
Who can forget the Epic Battle on Ballyallaban Hill, at one stage, so rumoured, the Radar in Shannon picked up extremely fast low flying objects (UFO’s) and issued an alert. The only UFO’s that day were easily identified, it was Paul & Simon. It was easily the most exhilarating, awe inspiring round of the Championship. And who can forget the Hearth Stopping Grand Finale in Donegal, and Pauls High Speed Crash. There's no doubt about it, these lads have written themselves into Irish Motorsport History.
